MegaVision to Announce Multispectral Breakthrough at Photokina SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 13 -- Digital photography pioneer MegaVision Inc. will unveil its new multispectral imaging system this September at Photokina, the world's largest trade show for photography and imaging.
MegaVision will introduce the E7 camera back--a 50-megapixel 3804 X 6220 unit with CameraLink and GigE interfaces--and SpectraPalette Color™ reproduction, a trademarked, patent pending process by which extremely accurate, exquisitely authentic, full-spectrum color images from multispectral image data sets are created. SpectraPalette color prints are a part of this process. This exciting technology is currently being used to image priceless national treasures, including the Gettysburg Address and the Declaration of Independence, as well as other public and private treasures. Representing MegaVision at the show will be Ken Boydston, company president, and Bill Christens- Barry, president of Equipoise Imaging LLC. Photokina, held in Cologne, Germany, every two years, is expected to draw more than 1,500 exhibitors and nearly 170,000 visitors during its six-day run from September 21 - 26, 2010.
